Yes I look at reviews from other people all of the time. I feel the same way as you pretty much.
Video games and such are opinionated for the most part, unless the game truly sucks, but other things like computer peripherals are always good to ahve some kind of feedback from people who experienced it.
Usually I use it help make the final choice. Usually by then I already have my mind made up. Its for the Reviews to either confirm what I was thinking or change my mind.
Video Games do have good reviews, but I take them for what they are.
I don’t rent/buy a game that I realize 100 people say is crap.
All reviews are just peoples opinions.
If you are familiar with the specs of your products, you woulndn’t need to see comments (some are probly just fake, and some are from people who don’t know what they are talking about), but if you are unsure, reviews do influence the buying decision.
For consumer electronics, reviews are critical. Amazon is a great place for this. Try Newegg as well. In most cases, if an item has more than 30 reviews, the general consensus is fairly accurate. If a product seems good, scan the one and two-star reviews. In general, lower-star reviews for good products occur because the user either had a bad experience with shipping, or doesn’t understand how to use the product he/she bought. The better a product is, unless it’s brand new, the more reviews it will have… especially on Amazon.
I agree with you on video games and movies- I don’t pay attention to those reviews until there are 100 or more.
Yes they do.
your right not on V. Games,
but on all the big stuff.
yeah like cars, and such.
no. people who “review” things usually have an agenda. there is no unbiased review process that I am aware of.
