Definately need this book to work with Photoshop elements 6, but its still complicated. I needed help from a Photoshop person to actually interpret the program.

I received Photoshop Elements 6 for dummies before I have received the software, Elements 6.
And on the first page it states that it will only work on Windows, Inted based Macs. Since I only have a G4 with system10.4, (which in the advertisement claims,this will work), and after reading some reviews on how hard it is to uninstall, I thought I would internet Dummies. com. and ask them that question.
I don’t know if they don’t work well with Safari, or what, but it was torture trying to get through their web site. I tried asking questions, I tried signing up. and repeatedly got error prompts and disconnections. I finally gave up and sent all the error codes to Apple.
Since I already have elements 4, which works O.K. I only ordered these because of the good deal that Amazon was giving me. But, I’m starting to think It’s not worth the trouble to keep.

The book was advertised as full color and the cover of the book even said “full color” but it was all black and white…. impossible to learn photoshop on a black and white book.

No doubt that Barbara is an expert on the use of Photoshop Elements 6 (PSE6), but she is disappointing in her presentation of the subject. If you are looking for a tutorial on PSE6 this is not the book for you. However, it is an excellent reference guide. The main things I hated about this book was the constant reference to different pages. Almost every page you read is referenced by some previous or future page. I got dizzy trying to figure out where I was and “what” I was reading. It stands neatly in my bookcase awaiting a need for reference.
